My mission is to inspire others and loan them some of my hard-earned courage while they are struggling and trying so hard to build some of their own. Courage is not something we are born to. Rather, it is born in us when we face trials and challenges that are bigger than we are. It is my firm belief that we have a responsibility to share our stories of courage-building when we have faced a particularly difficult trial and survived. In doing so we leave a trail of breadcrumbs that  can lead people out of dark times and into better days.

In that spirit, I share my stories here with you. Some of them are ugly (the before stories). Some of them are beautiful (the after stories). Some of them are struggles-in-progress infused with hope, optimism, and occasionally some whining.

Life is good and I am grateful.
